Our Story
It Began With A Vision
In the fall of 2005 God placed a vision in the heart and mind of a recently ordained minister named Beau Howells, a vision where the coming times required solid biblical teachers and even more solid ministries to "tear down, uproot, build up and to plant" (Jeremiah 1:10).
The next 15+ years have been spent seeing that vision unfold and formally organize into what has become WATCHFIRE MINISTRIES. Diligent research of scripture, tireless hours of biblical study and prayer, working with national & international ministries, churches, and inspired individuals to develop Spirit-filled programs, events, media and publications... has all prepared us to step out in faith and to obediently deliver our message, standing in the vision which drives us!
WATCHFIRE is a ministry that understands the times in which we now live... and has as its mission to "bring the Living Word to those living in the world" and its mandate that "the fire shall ever be burning... it shall never go out" (Leviticus 6:13). With steadfast resolve & fervent prayer we research and study the events of our time and of history in the light of prophecy; we reveal the entities operating behind the scenes and expose the strategies of darkness; we engage in battle through evangelism, discipleship, outreach, apologetics, deliverance, and with the Sword of the Spirit (sound dividing & teaching of scripture)... encouraging, edifying and motivating the Church to be the impact God called us to be!
The Church, in this world and for this time, must be fully prepared for spiritual warfare and be as "wise as serpents, and harmless as doves" (Matthew 10:16) . It is time to stand in the power of the Spirit proclaiming the Gospel message, fulfilling the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit to the Glory of the Father and in the most precious name of Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha'Meshiach)!

WHY WATCHFIRE?
"I have seen Him in the Watchfires of a hundred circling camps, ...His Day is marching on! "
Julia Ward Howe wrote the words above into the second stanza of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic" to express what she saw as God present in the Union Army watchfires. She saw the Day of the Lord marching forward in her time and it moved her greatly.
Since ancient times the watchfires were lit to signal to those outside the camp, and within, that the Watchmen were set upon their post, that an army was ready and prepared, and it was a place where the intelligence of the day was gathered and shared.
The watchfires were to remain lit and to never go out!
The enemy knew that lit watchfires meant that watchmen stood alert and ready to ignite the signal fires and to sound the alarm; alerting all that an attack was imminent, to report any nefarious signs on the horizon, and to prepare everyone for what was coming.
WATCHFIRE MINISTRIES is established as a watchfire for this time. We stand with the fire of the Holy Spirit lit within and with the scriptural charge that "The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out" (Leviticus 6:13). We stand to be watchmen on the wall (Isaiah 62:6, Ezekiel 33:6) preparing the Church and this world for what is coming upon the horizon and that which is moving upon our time. We stand as a signal to the enemy that the Army of the Lord (the Church) stands ready and prepared; and as a place where we gather to exchange the intelligence of the day. We stand seeing God present in the fire, seeing the Day of the Lord marching forward in our time, and it moves us greatly!
